A columned Southern estate wanted the front and rear balcony railings to carry a family monogram, worked in as a structural motif rather than an applied ornament. We drew the monogram module full scale, forged it as a repeating unit, and trimmed it for each bay so the pattern held across the run.
The finish is oil-blackened with a warm red-oxide undertone. Reads warmly against the brick without looking newly made.

The monogram module was drawn full-scale, forged as a repeating unit, then trimmed for each bay to keep the visual rhythm consistent across the elevation.
